In the 59th minute, when the score was 2-2, Luiz Gustavo won the ball in the middle of the field before passing it to Cristiano Ronaldo who broke through two Al Shabab defenders before firing a technical shot into the far corner, sealing a 3-2 victory for Al Nassr.
Earlier in the 24th minute, Luiz Gustavo let the ball touch his hand in a corner kick situation, Cristian Guanca opened the score from the penalty spot.
In the 40th minute, Ali Al Oujami lost the ball in his own half, Al Shabab coordinated quickly and Guanca completed his double with an unstoppable long-range shot, raising the score to 2-0.
At the end of the first half, Anderson Talisca curled a dangerous shot after an assist from Al Hassan to reduce the score to 1-2 for Al Nassr. At the beginning of the second half, Abdulrahman Ghareeb brought the match back to a 2-2 tie before Ronaldo sealed a 3-2 victory for Al Nassr.
Al Nassr made a spectacular comeback despite being 2-0 down, but they still ranked second because in the same match, the top team Al Ittihad beat Al Batin 1-0 to maintain a 3-point gap with Al Nassr.
Ronaldo and his teammates' chances of winning the Saudi Arabia championship are gradually narrowing as there are only two rounds left in the season.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 14 goals for Al Nassr this season. Adding a goal for Man Utd against Everton in the Premier League, Ronaldo has a total of 15 goals this year.
Since 2006, Ronaldo has played 17 seasons and scored at least 15 goals or more in national championships.
In his peak season of 2014/15, the Euro 2016 champion scored 48 goals in La Liga. Currently, the star born in 1985 has reached 837 goals, 32 more than the next person Lionel Messi.
