Evaluating the overall framework of the research content and policy impact of the project "Evaluating the economic value of Trang An World Heritage in development", Dr. Tran Nhat Lam Duyen - Faculty of Management and Creative Economy, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, Vietnam National University, Hanoi emphasized that the economic evaluation of heritages plays an important role in shaping sustainable development policies and maximizing the socio-economic benefits of cultural and natural assets.
The study assesses the direct and indirect contributions of heritage to tourism, local livelihoods and regional development; addresses policy gaps in heritage management; provides evidence-based findings and recommendations for policy makers, emphasizing heritage-led sustainable development, equitable distribution of benefits and long-term conservation strategies; and contributes to the global discourse on heritage economics by demonstrating how economic valuation can support more effective governance and investment strategies for UNESCO-recognized heritage sites.

Dr. Enrico Eraldo Bertacchini, University of Turin - Scientific Advisor, Santagata Foundation for Cultural Economy, said that Trang An is a very interesting and unique model. The assessment of the economic value of Trang An is an important and quality study in the current global context and contributes much value to the orientation of sustainable development and enhancing the socio-economic impact of world heritages.
At the first session, delegates presented the main research results on four groups of values contributing to the economic value of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex World Heritage Site: Diversity of natural and biological ecosystems, historical and cultural values, continuous settlement heritage and expanded heritage destination brand.
Highlights include issues on: methods for assessing the economic value of heritage - applied to the case of Trang An World Heritage Complex; assessing the impact of heritage on the economic value of real estate in the core and buffer zones of Trang An World Heritage - model and assessment method; outstanding values of Trang An cultural heritage from the perspective of heritage economics and future development position; a look at assessing the economic value of heritage in Vietnam - comparing the case of Trang An World Heritage; exploiting the visual arts of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital in the future cultural industry and heritage tourism...
