Over the long history, Xoan melodies have been passed down and preserved from generation to generation by many generations. People in Xoan villages have tried to preserve the unique values ​​of Xoan singing so that today, Xoan singing has spread widely throughout districts, cities, and towns in the province...

Members of the Xoan Singing and Folk Song Club of Phu Tho, Hung Lo commune, Viet Tri city, performed the program "Xoan Singing in the ancient village" associated with the cultural heritage tourist destination at the communal house yard.

In recent years, especially in the period of 2019-2024, with the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the efforts of all levels and sectors, Xoan Singing and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs have been established and maintained effective operations, contributing positively to the work of preserving and promoting the value of the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity - Phu Tho Xoan Singing.

Established in 2009, up to now, the Xoan Singing and Folk Songs Club of Phu Nham Commune, Phu Ninh District has gathered 47 members and 6 artists to participate in regular activities. In order to preserve and promote the cultural values ​​of Xoan Singing, the Club has had many solutions to maintain and develop such as regularly participating in Xoan Singing classes organized by all levels; participating in competitions, performances, festivals, exchanges to celebrate major holidays and political tasks of the country, province, district and locality. At the Xoan Singing and Folk Songs Festival of Phu Tho, Hung King's Commemoration - Hung Temple Festival, festivals, exchanges... all have the active participation of the Club. Along with that, the Club also regularly opens classes for students at schools in the commune and residential areas.

Ms. Phung Thi Dung - Club Director said: “On average, each year, we open 3 classes to teach Xoan singing to nearly 200 students. With their love for Xoan, the members of the Club, despite being busy with family and farming work, still enthusiastically practice and pass on Xoan folk songs to the younger generation. Sometimes they practice singing for a whole week to prepare for performances serving the holidays of the commune and district. Not only the participating members but also the people in the area enthusiastically come to watch and cheer. Just like that, Xoan has become a part of our people's lives”.

The province currently has 37 provincial-level Xoan and Phu Tho Folk Song Clubs, attracting more than 1,600 members. It can be said that Xoan singing has spread to all classes of people with many rich and diverse activities that have attracted a large number of people to participate. Most of the clubs have maintained regular monthly and quarterly activities.

Every year, the clubs send members to attend Xoan singing training courses organized by the province. From 2019 to present, the province has organized 22 training courses, including 4 classes on teaching and practicing Xoan singing for the core art groups of Xoan singing and Phu Tho folk song clubs, 2 training courses for Club leaders, communal cultural officials, and specialized officers of the Department of Culture and Information of districts, cities, and towns with over 400 participants. Many localities have invited artisans to teach Xoan singing to the core art groups and clubs. After attending the training courses, the core art groups, and Club leaders have directly organized over 200 training courses for 4,000 participants, including club members and local people who love Xoan singing.

Some localities and clubs have done a good job of teaching locally, such as: Tan Phu Secondary School Club (Tan Son district), Hung Son town Club (Lam Thao district), Thanh Thuy town Club, Dao Xa commune Club (Thanh Thuy district), Phu Tho town Department of Education and Training Club...
Over the past 5 years, the clubs have organized more than 400 performances to serve local tasks, residential communities, and exchange activities in the community and among the people of different localities. Thanks to that, exchanges with clubs inside and outside the province and with Xoan wards have been strengthened, creating opportunities to share and learn professional experiences and methods of organizing activities of other units. Xoan singing performances and exchanges are regularly held by the clubs, creating a good impression on the people of the whole country and foreign tourists; at the same time, affirming the everlasting vitality of Xoan singing in the community. That is the result of the efforts of each member of the clubs to contribute to preserving the Xoan tune of their homeland to live forever with time.
