Under the theme “Ensuring the Right to Inclusive, Equitable and Quality Education to Break and Stop the Cycle of Violence in Africa”, during the meeting held on the sidelines of the 44th African Union (AU) Summit in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, the AU and its partners called for concerted efforts to promote equitable and inclusive education to prevent violence in Africa.
The meeting aimed to raise awareness of the central role of education in building resilience, reducing and preventing factors that lead to violent conflict in Africa.
