VN-Index lost nearly 6 points due to strong selling pressure, liquidity decreased

NDO - In the trading session on March 26, VN-Index lost strength and turned down from the end of the morning session and continued to trade sideways under strong selling pressure; software, securities, banking sectors... plummeted; the VN30 basket had 19 stocks decreasing, 7 stocks increasing and 4 stocks remaining unchanged. At the end of the session, VN-Index decreased by 5.83 points, down to 1,326.09 points.

Market liquidity decreased sharply compared to the previous session, with total trading volume on the three exchanges reaching more than 943.89 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 20,595.28 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on the seventh session on all three exchanges, with more than VND556.24 billion, focusing on the codes FPT (more than VND300 billion), TPB (more than VND128 billion), DBC (more than VND57 billion), VHM (more than VND50 billion), HCM (more than VND47 billion)...

In the opposite direction, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session included VRE (over 156 billion VND), BID (over 48 billion VND), STB (over 37 billion VND), GVR (over 26 billion VND), VPB (over 18 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 16,584.88 billion VND.

In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index increased by more than 1.61 points include: HPG, TCB, GAS, BRS, SJS, MWG, VIC, VRE, TCH, PLX.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index decreased by more than 4.33 points include FPT, CTG, VCB, LPB, MBB, VPB, BID, TPB, SSI, KDH.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks continued to perform negatively, falling sharply by 2.78%, mainly from FPT and CMG codes.

The group of securities stocks had another session in red, with a decrease of 1.43%, mainly from codes SSI, VCI, VND, MBS, FTS, BSI, SHS, DSE, CTS, VDS, AGR, ORS... Some codes increased including VIX, DSC, IVS...

Similarly, the group of sinking bank stocks also performed negatively and decreased by 0.69%, mainly from codes VCB, BID, CTG, VPB, LPB, MBB, ACB, STB, VIB, SSB, SHB, TPB... A few codes increased including TCB, OCB, PGB...

Real estate stocks this session were in the red and decreased by 0.23%, mainly from codes BCM, SSH, KDH, KBC, KSF, NVL DXG, NLG, DIG, VPI, IDC, PDR... On the contrary, the codes increased including VIC, VRE, SIP, SNZ, TCH, TAL, SJS, HDG...

Energy stocks continued to have a positive trading session, up 0.69%, mainly from codes PVD, PVC, CST, TVD, AAH, NBC, MDC, PSB... Declining codes included codes TMB, POS, PVB, HLC...

The group of raw material stocks this session also had differentiation, increasing by 0.42%, mainly from codes HPG, DGC, KSV, DPM, HSG, NTP, PHR, ACG, PTB, TVN, HT1, DPR... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included GVR, VGC, DCM, BMP, VCS, VIF, CSV...

Insurance stocks also increased by 0.22%, mainly from codes PVI, PTI, ABI, PRE, AIC... Declining direction included BVH, VNR, BMI...

The retail stock group also had differentiation, increasing by 0.12%, mainly from codes MWG, PLX, SAS, HHS, VFG, SVC, HAX, CLX... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included PNJ, FRT, DGW, CTF, PET, HTM...

* The Vietnamese stock market index today turned down from the end of the morning session and closed in red, VNXALL-Index closed down 12.88 points (-0.59%), at 2,174.42 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 815.17 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 19,274.61 billion. In the whole market, there were 144 stocks increasing in price, 91 stocks remaining unchanged and 225 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 241.33 points, down 3.23 points (-1.32%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 72.36 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,262.30 billion. In the whole market, there were 59 stocks increasing in price, 56 stocks remaining unchanged and 98 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 6.00 points (-1.20%) to 493.63 points. Trading volume reached over 31.14 million units, equivalent to over VND653.26 billion. In the whole market, 9 stocks increased in price, 3 stocks remained unchanged and 18 stocks decreased in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 98.85 points, down 0.32 points (-0.32%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 35.92 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 468.04 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 154 stocks increasing in price, 105 stocks remaining unchanged and 110 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 5.83 points (-0.44%) to 1,326.09 points. Liquidity reached over 834.63 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND18,789.04 billion. The entire floor had 176 stocks increasing, 77 stocks remaining unchanged and 286 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 7.32 points (-0.53%) and stopped at 1,381.47 points. Liquidity reached more than 346.12 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND10,339.38. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 7 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 19 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are VIX (over 48.80 million units), HPG (over 43.98 million units), SHB (over 43.76 million units), SSI (over 26.16 million units), TCB (over 24.08 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase were DPR (+6.99%), HU1 (+6.98%), VAF (+6.98%), TRC (+6.91%), CRC (+6.91%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were NVT (-6.92%), JVC (-6.89%), PNC (-6.86%), COM (-6.33%), ORS (-6.02%).
