According to records this afternoon (July 24), the listed gold prices are as follows: SJC Hanoi, SJC Da Nang, SJC Ho Chi Minh City gold are all at 66,600 million VND/tael for buying (up 200 VND/tael compared to yesterday's closing price); 67,220 million VND/tael for selling SJC Hanoi, SJC Da Nang gold and 67,200 million VND/tael for selling (all up 100 VND/tael compared to yesterday's closing price).

DOJI Gold Hanoi 66,500 million VND/tael for buying; 67,200 million VND/tael for selling (same price as yesterday).

DOJI SG Gold 66,500 million VND/tael for buying (same price as yesterday); 67,150 million VND/tael for selling (down 50,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday's closing price).

Meanwhile, PNJ Hanoi gold price was traded at 56 million VND/tael (same as yesterday's closing price). PNJ Ho Chi Minh City gold price was 56 million VND/tael for buying; 57,100 million VND/tael for selling (same as yesterday's price).

PNJ Gold in Ho Chi Minh City increased by 100,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday's closing price: Buy price 56 million VND/tael; sell price 57,100 million VND/tael (stable compared to yesterday's closing price).

Thus, today's gold price increased for SJC gold, stable for the remaining gold products, following the fluctuations of world gold prices.

* Meanwhile, the world spot gold price stood at around 1,974.6 USD/ounce, up 10.6 USD/ounce compared to last weekend. The gold futures price for August delivery on the Comex New York floor was at 1,979.3 USD/ounce.

On the world market, the spot gold price on Kitco floor on July 22 (at 4:00 p.m., Vietnam time) was trading at 1,960 USD/ounce.

Investors are predicting that the world gold price may soon return to $2,000/ounce despite the US Federal Reserve (Fed) raising interest rates by 25 percentage points on July 26.

However, analysts are more cautious, warning investors not to put too much money into gold before the Fed decides to raise interest rates further.
