According to BGR , the 15-inch MacBook Air is one of three new Macs introduced by Apple, taking up about 5 minutes of the presentation because it is simply a larger variant of the 13.6-inch model launched last year. But that doesn't mean the product doesn't bring surprises to consumers, especially in terms of price.

The larger screen, slimmer design, and especially the M2 chip inside make the 15-inch MacBook Air a compelling proposition. Even without the M3 chip (which Apple hasn't announced yet), the M2 ensures great performance and battery life. The 15-inch MacBook Air promises 18 hours of battery life (Apple TV movie playback) or up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing. That's on par with the estimates for the 13.6-inch MacBook Air and the 14-inch M2 MacBook Pro.
However, Apple has surprised everyone with its pricing. The starting price for the 15-inch MacBook Air is $1,299, which is $300 cheaper than many analysts had predicted, even though that was the expected price for the M3 chip. The base model of the 15-inch MacBook Air comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and users can spend an additional $200 to get the 8/512GB version or higher for more RAM and storage.

The base model starts at $1,299, which is a surprising number and makes it a computer that Apple’s competitors will be wary of. Apple also continues to sell the M1 MacBook Air starting at $999, and that’s a pretty strong contender in the market. The 13.6-inch M2 MacBook Air, which starts at $1,099, is also incredibly powerful.
The move to M-series chips has certainly helped Apple deliver a powerful MacBook Air line. M-series chips are not only a "nightmare" for Intel and its competitors, but also help Apple reduce production costs because the company does not have to buy chips from other manufacturers. Users can pre-order the 15-inch MacBook Air now before the machine ships next week. In Vietnam, the product is expected to be distributed and sold in the market in July with prices starting at VND32.89 million.
