Rice price today January 10: Rice reverses to decrease

Currently, the price of fragrant rice bran decreased by 100, fluctuating between 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; the price of dry bran decreased by 200 VND, fluctuating between 5,750 - 5,850 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, the volume is quite good, new transactions continue to be slow. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the volume is slow, the warehouse purchases of all kinds of rice have decreased slightly depending on the quality. In Lap Vo - Vam Cong (Dong Thap), the volume is quite good, new transactions are slow, prices tend to decrease slightly, warehouse purchases are slow.

Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), in terms of quantity, the price of rice of all kinds is relatively stable, the market rice warehouses buy little. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the quantity is small, customers buy slowly, there is little good rice, mostly general rice, the price of some types has decreased slightly.

At retail markets, prices of some rice products have decreased compared to the beginning of the week. Currently, regular rice has decreased by VND1,000, fluctuating at VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice has decreased by VND1,000, fluctuating at VND17,000 - 18,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND21,500/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice is VND22,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,500/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; Soc regular rice is VND500 lower at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,500/kg.

In many localities today, new rice transactions were weak due to continuous fluctuations in rice prices. In Long An, there is still a small supply, prices are relatively stable compared to yesterday, new transactions are slow. In Dong Thap, farmers are selling at reduced prices but few people are buying.

In Soc Trang, there are not many new buyers, so transactions are slow. In An Giang, farmers are offering early winter-spring rice, so new transactions are slow. In Bac Lieu, the market is quiet, there are few new buyers, so transactions are stagnant.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today are stronger than at the beginning of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 434 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 409 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 326 USD/ton.
