* Hong Dan District: Meeting to celebrate the traditional Chol-chnam-thmay New Year 2025
On the afternoon of April 11, a delegation of officials from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, led by Comrade Nguyen Binh Tan - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, visited and congratulated the 2025 Chol-chnam-thmay festival at Khmer pagodas in Bac Lieu city (Xiêm Cán pagoda, Kim Cầu pagoda, Khmer pagoda in Ward 7, Tra Kha A pagoda), the Bac Lieu Khmer General Art Troupe and the Khmer Group of Bac Lieu Newspaper.
At the Khmer pagodas, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee informed about some of the province's outstanding results in implementing political tasks, socio-economic development, and ensuring security and national defense in the first quarter of 2025. In particular, the province is focusing on implementing the policy of rearranging administrative units under the direction of the Central Government; mobilizing resources to implement the Program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" to take good care of housing for households in difficult circumstances, including Khmer households.
Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee - Nguyen Binh Tan presented gifts to the Abbot of the Khmer Pagoda in Ward 7.
Comrade Nguyen Binh Tan emphasized that, despite the difficult budget conditions, the province still prioritizes implementing specific policies in areas with a large Khmer population such as: upgrading transport infrastructure, developing healthcare,education , sustainable poverty reduction, etc. Thanks to that, the appearance of the countryside and the lives of the Khmer people are increasingly improving.
Visiting and congratulating the Khmer Bac Lieu General Art Troupe, the delegation acknowledged and praised the efforts and dedication of the artists and actors in preserving and promoting the values of traditional art forms, contributing to meeting the cultural enjoyment needs of the Khmer people in the province.
At Bac Lieu Newspaper, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee - Nguyen Binh Tan highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Khmer Group to diversifying the propaganda products of Bac Lieu Newspaper. Besides the beautiful presentation, the content of Bac Lieu Newspaper in Khmer has contributed to bringing the policies of the Party, State and locality into life, gradually improving the people's knowledge and preserving the writing of the Khmer people. He suggested that the Editorial Board of Bac Lieu Newspaper continue to direct the improvement of the quality of Khmer newspaper information, especially strengthening the propaganda on the policy of arranging administrative units.

Leaders of Hong Dan District Party Committee presented gifts to delegates.
There were nearly 300 delegates, including Venerables, monks and nuns from Khmer pagodas; prestigious people among ethnic minorities; retired cadres and civil servants, who are Khmer ethnic people in the district.
On this occasion, Hong Dan district presented 33 gifts to Venerables, Venerables, monks and prestigious people in the district.
