On the afternoon of January 24, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee held a meeting to wish businesses a happy new year on the occasion of preparing to welcome the New Year of the Dragon 2024.

According to the assessment of the Provincial Business Association, in 2023, despite many difficulties, the provincial business community has strived to rise up, maintain production and business activities, create jobs and stable income for hundreds of thousands of workers. Enterprises have actively contributed to the socio-economic development results of the province with GRDP growth reaching 7.37%, higher than the national average. The business community has paid 4,325/9,815 billion VND of domestic revenue to the provincial budget, and paid 1,468 billion VND of import-export tax. There were 1,146 newly established enterprises, the second consecutive year with over 1,000 newly established enterprises. The provincial business community has also done a good job in social security work, sharing with the community, and humanitarian charity. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023, businesses presented over 40,000 gifts to poor and disadvantaged households, worth nearly 17 billion VND.
Provincial leaders presented flowers to thank and congratulate outstanding businesses that supported Tet gifts for the poor.
The Provincial Business Association believes that there will still be difficulties in 2024. The business community and enterprises in the province need to be proactive and creative, seize opportunities to overcome challenges, adapt to new conditions to have appropriate strategies and production and business plans to develop enterprises and continue to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province. The business community hopes to continue to receive more attention, support and companionship to overcome difficulties from Party committees and authorities at all levels.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, reviewed the outstanding results in the province's socio-economic development in 2023 and said that the province's investment and business environment has continuously improved, creating a breakthrough in attracting investment, bringing Thai Binh to the 5th position in the country in terms of FDI capital attraction. He affirmed that the business community has made efforts to overcome difficulties, rise up, and make important contributions to those commendable achievements.
Preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished the business community and enterprises in the province to continuously grow, unite, join hands, be determined with the spirit of dedication, and the aspiration to develop Thai Binh homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized. To realize those wishes, he suggested that businessmen and enterprises promote initiative and creativity, grasp development trends, integrate into the international economy, and exploit local strengths for development. The Provincial Business Association and each businessman and enterprise accompany the Party Committee and the government to create a favorable investment and business environment, improve the competitiveness of the provincial PCI, the department, branch, district, and city DDCI levels, contributing to attracting many investment resources for development and creating the best ecosystem for people and enterprises to invest, produce, and do business effectively and sustainably. The business community competes to innovate, create, build a culture of Thai Binh entrepreneurs and businesses with identity, responsibility, and affection; together with all levels, sectors, and localities, perform well the work of social security, improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee will always accompany and pay attention to directing and creating the best conditions for the development of enterprises. In particular, the province continues to review and perfect policies and mechanisms, improve the investment environment to be open and attractive for enterprises to invest and produce and do business effectively. He believes that with new opportunities and chances, along with the timely leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the consensus and support of the people in the province, the business community and entrepreneurs of Thai Binh will overcome all difficulties and challenges, continue to succeed and develop more strongly in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee organized a ceremony to honor and award certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 33 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023.
The Provincial Business Association has called on businessmen and enterprises to join hands to support and give gifts to disadvantaged policy families and the poor in the province to have a warm and joyful Tet. To date, businesses have registered to support 35,000 gifts with a total value of 15 billion VND to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.
