This afternoon, September 11, in Dong Ha City, a meeting and exchange of working experiences took place between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri Province and the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Champasak Province. At the program, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee shared some contents related to the mobilization of funds for social security work, the mobilization of ethnic groups and religions in the province. Accordingly, implementing social security activities, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has effectively implemented the work of building new houses for poor households. From 2022 to August 2024, 1,425 new houses were built with a total cost of 84.2 billion VND. The "For the Poor" Fund of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province in the 5 years 2019 - 2024 supported the construction and repair of 2,640 solidarity houses; supported production development for 968 people; supported 3,882 poor students; supported medical examination and treatment for 1,359 people; supported sudden difficulties with 55,508 gifts...
The program "Connecting Hands of Love" in the 5 years 2019-2024 has supported the construction of 487 new solidarity houses; visited and presented 334,320 gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year to victims of Agent Orange, people with disabilities, orphans, families affected by natural disasters, epidemics, people in especially difficult circumstances...
The implementation of livelihood models to support disadvantaged families in developing production; the Relief and Social Security Fund has also achieved many encouraging results. In addition, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated the implementation of national target programs in the province such as the sustainable poverty reduction program, new rural construction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province also shared some experiences on the form of mobilizing resources from the state budget and from socialized sources; the work of mobilizing ethnic groups and religions. At the same time, it evaluated some results achieved after nearly 5 months of signing the memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Lao Fatherland Front Committee of Champasak province.

Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction of Champasak Province, Vatsa Na Sy Ly Ma, highly appreciated the results achieved in implementing the contents of the memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Champasak Province and the Lao Front for National Construction of Champasak Province, especially the work of propaganda and education for cadres and people to better understand the tradition of solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Laos... At the same time, he shared some results achieved in implementing social security work, ethnic and religious work that the Lao Front for National Construction of Champasak Province has deployed in recent times.
With the spirit of solidarity and friendship, this meeting and experience exchange program will continue to contribute to further promoting the relationship between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Champasak province and the Lao Fatherland Front Committee for National Construction of Champasak province, actively contributing to bringing the relationship between the two provinces to a new stage of development.
