FPT Retail is licensed to provide mobile telecommunications services nationwide from May 30.

Normally, it takes 12-15 months to deploy a technical system for a new mobile virtual network. With the advantage of technology and support from the group, FPT Retail hopes to shorten this time and soon provide services to customers.
According to the Department of Telecommunications (Ministry of Information and Communications), the number of mobile phone subscribers in Vietnam is nearly 130 million. Of which, the number of mobile phone subscribers of virtual mobile service providers is 2.65 million, accounting for 2.1% of the total number of subscribers in the whole market.
Currently, the Ministry of Information and Communications has licensed five enterprises to provide virtual mobile network services in Vietnam, including: Dong Duong Telecom, Mobicast, ASIM, Digilife and FPT Retail.
