Video: Experience Ford Ranger Stormtrak in Vietnam.
The pickup truck market in Vietnam in February 2025 witnessed the stability of the Ford Ranger in the leading position, while competitors such as Mitsubishi Triton or Isuzu D-Max faced a significant decline in sales. According to published data, total sales of the entire segment in the first two months of 2025 showed a clear differentiation between models. Specifically, the Ford Ranger in Vietnam currently accounts for nearly 73% of the group's market share.
In February 2025, Ford Ranger led sales with 1,111 vehicles sold, down slightly from the previous month (1,115 vehicles). Total sales in the first two months of the year reached 2,226 vehicles. The slight decrease of 0.4% did not affect Ranger's number one position in the segment, and at the same time showed the stable appeal of American pickup trucks in the market.

This March, Ford maintains the same promotional policy for Ranger as in February. Thanks to that, the actual price of Ford Ranger returns to a much more attractive level than the listed price.
Mitsubishi Triton sold 216 cars in February, down 30 cars compared to January (246 cars). In the first two months of the year, Triton's cumulative sales reached 462 cars, also ranking 2nd in the group.
Toyota Hilux was the only model in the pickup segment to record positive growth in February. This model sold 179 vehicles, an increase of 13 vehicles compared to January (166 vehicles). Total sales in the first two months of the year reached 345 vehicles, helping Hilux closely follow Triton.
Isuzu D-Max recorded a significant decline when only 24 cars were sold in February, down sharply by 57.9% compared to the previous month (57 cars). Total sales in the first two months of the year reached 81 cars.
In general, the pickup segment in the Vietnamese automobile market still shows a high difference in sales between the leading position of the Ranger and the following models. With a similar price difference, the Ford Ranger offers a variety of equipment and an eye-catching appearance. This is a sign that manufacturers need to have stronger stimulus policies if they want to further increase their competitiveness with the "king" of the segment.
