On March 21, the new Geely Coolray 2025 was officially introduced in Vietnam after a period of "teaching" to explore the market. This Chinese car model is distributed by Tasco with 3 versions: Standard, Premium and Flagship.

The price of Geely Coolray 2025 for 3 versions includes: Standard (538 million VND), Premium (578 million VND) and Flagship (628 million VND). Compared to the best-selling model in the segment, Mitsubishi Xforce, the rookie Coolray is priced tens of millions of VND cheaper.

Specifically, Geely Coolray in Vietnam has one of the lowest prices in the B-size urban SUV segment, only more expensive than MG ZS (518-588 million VND) but cheaper than most Japanese and Korean competitors such as Mitsubishi Xforce (599-705 million VND), Toyota Yaris Cross (650-765 million VND) or Kia Seltos (599-799 million VND).

The Geely Coolray SUV has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,330 x 1,800 x 1,609 mm, a wheelbase of 2,500 mm and a ground clearance of 196 mm.

The Flagship version of the Geely Coolray has good recognition. Compared to the two lower versions, this variant has an easily distinguishable appearance with a black roof, fixed spoiler, 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and red painted brake calipers. In addition, the Flagship is the only version equipped with a panoramic sunroof, front/rear sensors and a 360-degree camera.

The interior of the Geely Coolray is quite modern with two-tone black and red on the Premium and Flagship versions, a beveled-bottom steering wheel and a 7-inch multi-information screen. Leather seats only appear on the two high-end versions, but in return, a 10.25-inch entertainment screen is standard equipment, with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.

Some notable amenities include: panoramic sunroof (Flagship), automatic parking (Premium and Flagship), electronic handbrake, automatic air conditioning, 360-degree camera (Flagship), 6 speakers (4 speakers on standard version)...

One notable point is that the Geely Coolray is equipped with an electronic gear lever - a feature that usually only appears on higher-end models. The rear seats provide good reclining comfort, creating a pleasant feeling when sitting for a long time.

Geely Coolray is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, 175 horsepower and 255Nm of torque, with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. This engine is developed based on the Volvo XC40 platform.

In terms of safety, the Standard version has 2 airbags, while the Premium and Flagship have 6 airbags. All three versions are equipped with tire pressure sensors, hill start assist, electronic handbrake and speed limiter.

Geely Coolray impresses as the only model in the segment with automatic parking reverse feature, along with modern driving assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist and blind spot warning.

Not the latest version like the car in the international market, Geely Coolray still promises to be a "breath of fresh air" in the B-SUV segment. With a strong design, this model can be of interest to young customers who love technology and are willing to try a new brand. In this group of cars, Mitsubishi Xforce is the most "attractive" product in 2024, with a total of 14,407 cars sold.
