F-16 collided with Su-57 in Ukrainian airspace?
In an air battle over Ukraine, the US-made F-16 fighter jet would lose to the Russian Su-57.
“If we talk about an air battle between the F-16 and Russian fighters, then do not be fooled: Against the Su-57 with its superior maneuverability, these planes have no chance of winning a battle with the latest generation of Russian aircraft,” TASS news agency quoted French aviation expert Cyril de Lattre as saying .

According to Cyril de Lattre, the West has delivered too few fighter jets to Ukraine for them to have any impact on the course of the conflict. “ In any case, they will be shot down one by one, as has happened with the F-16s so far, ” the expert said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the country had received additional F-16 fighter jets from international partners.
Also in March 2025, the Telegram channel “Operation Z: Russian Spring War Correspondent” reported that F-16 fighter jets transferred by Western countries to the Armed Forces of Ukraine were spotted in the Sumy region.

The Pentagon is allowed to spend as much money as it wants on the project, with no limits. However, for now, the project exists only as a concept. The system could be superior to Israel's Iron Dome. The Golden Dome is a more ambitious system, as the United States is one of the largest countries in the world.
On March 5, the deputy commander of the US Space Force, General Michael Gutline, mentioned the creation of the Golden Dome missile defense system, stating that the system is in the planning stage. He added that several organizations within the Pentagon will participate in the development of the missile defense system and that the list of these organizations is being discussed, as well as their subsequent activities. The Golden Dome will also include the ability to warn of orbital missiles.
Finland develops new 155mm self-propelled gun
At the Arctic Event 2025 demonstration event held in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland, organized by Patria, the new 155 mm/52 ARVE wheeled self-propelled howitzer prototype developed by Patria was presented for the first time. The system is built on the Sisu E13TP 8x8 chassis with an armored cab.
According to a statement from Patria representatives, the “concept” of the new self-propelled artillery system was worked out within the corporation several years ago and a proposal was submitted to the Finnish Ministry of Defense in 2015.
Prototype firing tests are scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025, before which maneuverability and cross-country tests will be conducted. However, officially, the Finnish Armed Forces have not released any official information about this new weapon.

The ARVE system is a system mounted on the Sisu E13TP (8x8) wheeled chassis of the oscillator of the 155mm/52 155GH52 (155K98) towed self-propelled gun, previously produced by Patria for the Finnish army. At the same time, the system is designed quite simply, with a minimum level of automation, which increases reliability in combat. The maximum rate of fire is 8 rounds per minute, the first 3 shots can be fired in the first 15 seconds, while the continuous rate of fire is 2 rounds/minute. The vehicle crew consists of 6 people.
The ARVE self-propelled artillery system has an overall length of 11.5 meters, a width of 2.6 meters and a height of 3.5 meters, with a maximum combat weight of less than 28 tons. With a 500-horsepower Caterpillar C13 diesel engine combined with a six-speed Allison 4500 automatic transmission, the vehicle can reach a maximum speed on the highway of more than 100 km/h and has a range of more than 600 km, with a fuel tank of 400 liters. The device can overcome a slope of 30° (57.7%) and obstacles of 1 meter deep water.
The ARVE self-propelled gun must be equipped with a modern automatic fire control system. In the future, there is a possibility of installing an automatic loading system for the next versions of the self-propelled gun.
