Having scored 34 goals and provided 12 assists in 41 games for Al Nassr since joining earlier this year, CR7 was not considered one of the 100 best players of the year. He was not rated as highly as Sergio Busquets (Inter Miami - 100th), Nahuel Molina (Atletico Madrid - 99th) and Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa (98th).
Meanwhile, Messi is still on the list and ranked 6th. The Argentine superstar made a strong impression after winning the 2022 World Cup with the national team and winning the Best Player award.
Messi left PSG for Inter Miami in the summer and has taken the US by storm both on and off the pitch, scoring once and providing five assists in 14 appearances for David Beckham's club.
Four Four Two rated Erling Haaland as the best player of the year. Joining Man City in the summer of 2022, the Norwegian superstar quickly adapted to the Premier League.
The striker born in 2000 scored 52 goals in 53 matches across all fronts in his first season with the Etihad Stadium team. With Man City, Erling Haaland completed the treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
The tall striker broke the record for most goals scored in a season held by two senior players, Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.
Second after Erling Haaland is young English star Jude Bellingham. The midfielder born in 2003 quickly affirmed his talent in Real Madrid's shirt since joining last summer. Playing in the midfield position, Jude Bellingham is leading the scoring list in La Liga with 13 goals in 15 matches.
Another English star who has been outstanding this year is Harry Kane. The new Bayern Munich striker is third in Four Four Two 's list.
PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe ranked 4th. Midfielder Rodri and teammate Bernardo Silva at Man City ranked 5th and 7th. The top 10 also includes Salah (Liverpool), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid) and Vinicius Jr (Real).
