Sharing about the inauguration event of the 500kV line 3 from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) on August 29, 2024, according to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education This is not only an achievement in technology and infrastructure development, but also a testament to the spirit of solidarity and determination to overcome challenges of the entire nation .

“At the same time, this event recalls the historic days of 1945, when the whole nation rose up to regain independence. Now, in the modern context, we are witnessing another revolution – the industrial and energy revolution, a solid step forward in the cause of developing and ensuring national energy security, ” Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son acknowledged.

More than 7 months of lightning-fast construction is a clear testament to the determination and tireless efforts of workers, engineers and the entire political system. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son shared that the inauguration of the 500kV line 3 before the National Day on September 2 further increased the pride and affirmed the country's capacity and position in the period of innovation and international integration. Not only ensuring energy security, the project also opened up a new direction and new driving force for the socio-economic development of the Central and Northern regions.

“ The determination of the Party and State, along with the image of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visiting and supervising the construction of the 500kV line 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi, is a clear demonstration of Vietnam's strength in many aspects,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son. At the same time, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son emphasized that this demonstrates the strong will and determination of the country's leaders. The close supervision and inspection shows the special attention of the leaders to important infrastructure projects.

Looking back at the miracle of the rapid completion of the 500 kV line 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi, Associate Professor - Dr. Bui Hoai Son emphasized that the project has brought many valuable lessons for the economic and social development of the country.

The 500 kV line circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi is a large-scale project, with a total length of 519 km, 2 circuits with 1,177 pole locations, and a total investment of more than 22,300 billion VND (nearly 1 billion USD). This is a key, urgent project, of great significance to increase the power transmission capacity through the 500 kV system from the Central to the North with a capacity of 2,500 MW at present to 5,000 MW, improve the stability of the power system operation, increase power supply to the North in 2025 and the following years, reduce the risk of overloading and overloading of existing 500 kV lines and stations, and contribute to ensuring national energy security.
