Bridge of Vietnamese heritage
Vietnam has many valuable natural landscapes and heritages. To date, Vietnam has 9 heritages recognized by UNESCO as World Natural and Cultural Heritages, including 5 Cultural Heritages, 3 Natural Heritages and 1 Mixed Heritage. World heritages in Vietnam have been actively contributing to the country's sustainable socio-economic development.
These titles demonstrate the international community's appreciation of Vietnam's heritage and cultural values. Since then, Vietnam has become an attractive cultural destination. In 2022, Vietnam was elected to the Intergovernmental Committee for the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, with 4 more titles/heritages internationally recognized.
In the work of registering, preserving and promoting the value of Vietnam's world cultural and natural heritages, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an important bridge. From there, the international community can better understand the global values of Vietnamese culture and heritage, and better understand the culture, country and people of Vietnam.
The heritages that are recognized are not only about the expertise and value of the heritage itself, but also the world's affection for us. They love our culture, they love the Central Highlands gongs, Ca Tru, Xoan singing, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hue Royal Court Music...
I believe that with the heritages we have been recognized for, the world's people and international organizations will understand more about the Vietnamese people. As General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said, our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today.
In my opinion, the foundation we have is not only material, in my opinion it is the trust of the international community in Vietnam and this foundation needs to be promoted.
I believe that Vietnam will continue to develop and have an increasingly high position in the international arena. Those working in diplomacy and culture need to coordinate with each other to protect and honor the cultural heritage of our country. At the same time, the people also need to appreciate the achievements of diplomacy and have the responsibility to preserve and promote those achievements.

Enhance national status
It can be said that the international community highly appreciates the value of Vietnamese heritage and culture, as well as Vietnam's policy of always valuing culture, identifying culture as the spiritual foundation of society, the goal and driving force for sustainable development.
To promote cultural diplomacy and heritage diplomacy in the coming time, I think it is necessary to continue researching and innovating the forms of promoting cultural values, images of the country, culture and people of Vietnam. At the same time, integrating cultural promotion activities with trade promotion programs and building national brands so that culture truly becomes an endogenous strength, attracting external resources.
In addition, to increase Vietnam's global recognition, we also need to promote soft power. The cultural diplomacy strategy until 2030 has identified cultural diplomacy through cultural tools in diplomacy to contribute to promoting the image of the country, culture and people of Vietnam to the international community. From there, honor the intelligence, qualities, character, and noble ideals of the Vietnamese people and elevate the value of Vietnamese culture as well as arouse the aspiration to develop the country, strengthen soft power, and raise the national position.
It can be said that our ancestors have applied cultural diplomacy flexibly and skillfully in the struggle, protection and construction of the country. During the war, we affirmed the spirit of loving peace. Especially in the period of renovation, the diplomatic sector has promoted that spirit even more. Our diplomatic strategy has brought about proud successes. Our representative agencies abroad are increasingly prestigious.
Vietnam has gone through a fierce and arduous war. Diplomatic missions abroad are an important bridge to help peoples, countries and territories around the world understand Vietnam correctly. It is a peace-loving nation with a long-standing and rich culture. Through cooperative relations, the world increasingly sees the Vietnamese people as friendly, hospitable and responsible to the international community; at the same time, the role and position of our country are increasingly high, going into substance, innovation, building a rich and strong country.
