According to FIFA regulations, clubs must release players to the national team before June 19 to prepare for the 2023 Women's World Cup taking place at the end of July.
The Dutch women's team is missing many players in the upcoming training session.
However, many clubs in the Netherlands, England or Germany believe that their players get too little rest and this can easily lead to injuries.
Previously, European national championships had to postpone their schedules and start from September to serve the plan to play in the 2023 World Cup.
Speaking about this, the head coach of the Dutch women's team, Andries Jonker, said: "There are some teams that only want to release players before July 10."
The Dutch women's team is expected to be without up to 11 players in the upcoming training session, including prominent names such as Lineth Beerensteyn, Jill Roord, Dominique Janssen and Lynn Wilms.
The reaction from many European clubs came just a few weeks before the FIFA schedule, so the federations had to work together to postpone the gathering to June 23.
"We plan to play friendly matches on June 25 and July 2. Meanwhile, the German team also plans to play a friendly match with Vietnam on June 24," said coach Andries Jonker.
In recent days, the situation has been heating up and the parties involved have not yet found a suitable solution.
Meanwhile, coach Andries Jonker said that the Netherlands is also in this cycle and is heavily affected.
“The purity of women's football is one of the rare beauties of the sport.
Women's football is less influenced by side stories than men's football. This should not happen. It's a shame," the Dutch women's coach emphasized.
Previously, the tulip country team received bad news when number one striker Vivianne Miedema was injured and missed the 2023 World Cup.
At the 2023 World Cup, the orange team will meet Portugal (July 23), the US (July 27) and Vietnam (August 1).
