Science and technology enterprises offer advice on implementing Resolution 57

To implement Resolution 57, leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and universities all agree that there are three very important things that must be done quickly and effectively. These are open institutions, smooth infrastructure, and smart people.

On the afternoon of March 22, at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City National University held a meeting with leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and universities to listen to, discuss and implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Attending the event were Politburo members: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Also attending were Party Central Committee members Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Vu Hai Quan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University. Also attending were Nguyen Minh Vu, Alternate Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; and leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and universities.

After listening to opinions, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen spoke and discussed with leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and leaders of universities.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, spoke to acknowledge the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting, especially the opinions of leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises, and universities raised during the meeting.

At the same time, he expressed his wish that Vietnamese enterprises would access and master digital technology, apply science and technology to production and business activities, participate in the global supply chain, develop digital technology enterprises and affirm their brands and positions.

Previously, leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and university leaders expressed their opinions and suggestions on the implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo from their perspectives.

In the new era, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation are closely linked. This is an objective connection and an inevitable requirement. In which, science and technology is the foundation, innovation is the driving force, digital transformation is the connection, and people are the center and the subject.

To implement Resolution 57, leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and universities all agree that there are three very important things that must be done quickly and effectively. These are open institutions, smooth infrastructure, smart people; along with other conditions and ensuring network security and safety.

Opinions also proposed solutions for developing breakthrough technologies such as semiconductors, chip manufacturing, and artificial intelligence (AI). Solutions for digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, digital finance; digital tourism; sustainable agricultural development associated with science and technology, and digital transformation.

Along with that are opinions on solutions for developing infrastructure for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as a fundamental strategy. In which, infrastructure plays a core role in creating momentum for the country's breakthrough; investment needs to be carried out synchronously, with strong links between industries and fields. Prioritize the development of digital infrastructure to meet the increasing needs of the digital economy and digital society.

At the same time, focus on training and developing human resources for science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation. Breakthrough mechanisms and policies for Vietnamese enterprises to develop, especially science and technology enterprises to participate in the global supply chain, affirming their brand and position.

Leaders of corporations, science and technology enterprises and universities expressed their agreement and appreciation for the content of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. At the same time, they affirmed that this is a strategic, breakthrough resolution that is consistent with the world's development trends.

Opinions also pointed out that Vietnam has great opportunities to develop into a high-tech human resource center in the region. If exploited and trained in the right direction, Vietnam's young human resources will be a launching pad for breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, creating a sustainable competitive advantage for the country.

Resolution 57 is a strategic opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position and create a strong transformation in the digital age. If implemented consistently and synchronously with the participation of economic sectors, Resolution 57 will become an important driving force to promote sustainable growth, increase national competitiveness and ensure long-term socio-economic development.

Effective implementation of Resolution 57 will not only help Vietnam achieve its strategic goals by 2030 but also position the country as a regional and global technology and innovation hub by 2045.

The success of the Resolution will be measured through sustainable development indicators, including economic growth, labor productivity, technological capacity, digital economic scale, and competitive position in the global value chain.

In particular, the achievements of Resolution 57 will reflect the capacity of modern national governance – where science and technology, innovation and digital transformation are not only growth tools but also the foundation for a flexible, effective and adaptive governance system to changes in the global environment.

At that time, Vietnam will not only be a developed economy but also a country with endogenous strength, technological autonomy and the ability to lead development trends in the region and the world.
