Forecasting high purchasing power at the end of the year, since the fourth quarter, many businesses and commercial stores in the province have proactively increased their inventory by 20-30% compared to previous months, and continuously launched many promotional programs to stimulate shopping, especially for consumer goods, food, household appliances, electronics, refrigeration, wooden furniture, etc.
At Co.op Mart Dong Ha supermarket, with the criteria of rich products but stable prices, along with many attractive promotions, the unit is actively preparing goods to serve customers' shopping needs at the end of the year and Lunar New Year.

Specifically, the supermarket has developed a plan to reserve Tet goods and is expected to increase 2-3 times compared to the normal level for items in essential industries such as: fresh food, technological food, cosmetics, household appliances, clothing..., with a total cost of about 70 billion VND. In addition, items participating in price stabilization such as: rice, instant noodles, cakes, candies, jams, pork, beef, vegetables, tubers, fruits... the supermarket has also prepared a reserve plan with a total cost of 72 billion VND. All goods have clear origin and source, ensure food safety and hygiene, and are clearly listed in Co.opmart Dong Ha, and sold at the listed price. In particular, for items participating in the market stabilization program, Co.opmart Dong Ha arranges them in the most convenient location with an information board for customers to easily recognize.
At the agricultural products and Quang Tri specialties store named Gui que xuong pho of Bao An Khoi Company Limited, in Dong Ha City, the preparation of goods for the biggest shopping season of the year is also being urgently implemented. According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November 2023 is estimated at VND 2,423.66 billion, down 0.65% compared to the previous month, up 9.53% over the same period last year. In the 11 months of 2023, trade and service activities were quite vibrant due to the continued economic recovery, increased consumer demand, especially accommodation and food and beverage activities. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue are estimated at VND 28,013.49 billion, up 14.82% over the same period last year (11 months of 2022 increased by 13.5%) and reached 87.5% of the 2023 plan. The consumer price index in November 2023 increased by 0.36% over the previous month, 3.23% over December last year and 3.08% over the same period last year. The average consumer price index in 11 months of 2023 increased by 3.46% over the same period last year (11 months of 2022 increased by 3.86%).
To ensure supply-demand balance, stabilize market prices, especially at the end of the year and the Lunar New Year 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate to implement the Market Stabilization Program in the province; closely monitor market developments, supply and demand of goods, especially essential goods in the area. At the same time, take the lead in capturing market information, organizing and coordinating goods of enterprises when the market fluctuates under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee. Propagate and encourage enterprises to increase their stockpiles of goods, participate in the market stabilization program. Promote the implementation of activities to implement the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the program to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, industrial zones and clusters combined with programs, fairs to promote, reduce prices, and stimulate consumption.
