On April 20 (ie March 12 of the Lunar calendar), on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival in the year of Giap Thin 2024, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (SOC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized a delegation of overseas Vietnamese including nearly 70 delegates returning from more than 20 countries around the world led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairwoman of the Committee Le Thi Thu Hang, to make a pilgrimage to Hung Temple - Phu Tho.

The delegation offered incense at the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan Temple, offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings at the Lower Temple, the Middle Temple and the Upper Temple. After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation held a ceremony to report achievements and pay tribute to ancestors at the Upper Temple and offered incense and planted memorial trees at the Hung Temple Relic Site.

On this occasion, the leaders of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee met and hosted a dinner for the overseas Vietnamese delegation. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited Tan Son district, learned about the potential and strengths of the locality and visited Long Coc Tea Hill Tourist Area.

Organizing the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation to attend the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony 2024 also demonstrates the care, affection and responsibility of the Party and State for overseas Vietnamese, increasingly meeting their cultural and spiritual needs, encouraging generations of overseas Vietnamese to continue the fine traditions of their ancestors, in line with the consistent policy of our Party and State: "Overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community".
