The delegation included Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc; Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha and representatives of departments and branches of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

This is the opening activity for the series of activities "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" taking place from August 23-25 at many locations in Ho Chi Minh City, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
At the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, delegates offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh. Delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the nation's revolutionary cause.

On the same day, the delegation of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City also went to the Ho Chi Minh Museum on Nha Rong Wharf, respectfully offering incense and flowers to the great President Ho Chi Minh, expressing deep gratitude for his merits and selfless sacrifice for the people and the country.
Here, the delegates also observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity; the exemplary international communist soldier who devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Before his spirit, the delegates vowed to strive to learn and follow his example to build Vietnam to become more prosperous and happy.

After the ceremony of offering incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh, the delegates visited the exhibition booth "Names, pen names, and aliases of President Ho Chi Minh".
Afterwards, the delegation members offered flowers and incense in respectful memory of President Ton Duc Thang at the Ton Duc Thang Museum.
Here, the delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate the contributions of President Ton Duc Thang, the leader of the working class, a shining example of revolutionary morality, who fought and sacrificed his whole life for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and the construction and protection of the Vietnamese Fatherland.
