(CLO) From November 29 to December 3, 2024, the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival will take place at Mailand HaNoi City urban area, An Khanh (Hoai Duc, Hanoi).
The event aims to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture (now the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development). This is an opportunity to promote agricultural products, traditional craft villages, and honor the efforts of the capital's agricultural sector throughout its proud history.
This year’s festival attracted more than 260 participants, including 152 from 25 districts, towns and cities of Hanoi and 116 from 25 other provinces and cities. In addition, there were 32 domestic and international enterprises, creating a large space for exchange and product promotion.
The opening ceremony will take place from 6pm to 9:30pm on November 29, starting with a special art program praising the agricultural sector, the capital and the homeland. The performances will recreate historical stories, culture and traditions of building Vietnam's countryside, along with a reportage "Hanoi's agricultural sector: 70 years of glory, firmly stepping into the future" to honor the proud achievements of farmers and agricultural officials in the capital.
The festival is held on an area of 15,000 m2 with many diverse display areas: from agricultural products, typical craft villages, to high-tech agricultural models, ornamental plants, cuisine and souvenirs. This area not only introduces OCOP products but also promotes community tourism and rural tourism in Hanoi, contributing to promoting sustainable green tourism.
Within the framework of the Festival, thematic workshops will take place, including a meeting on November 29 to evaluate the food safety coordination program between Hanoi and other provinces and cities. The workshop will focus on topics such as the supply chain of safe vegetables, meat, and agricultural products, as well as solutions to connect production and consumption of agricultural products and food for Hanoi in the future.
In particular, on December 2, the workshop "Orientation for urban agricultural development in Hanoi" will discuss suitable models and solutions for Hanoi to develop urban agriculture effectively and sustainably.
One of the highlights of the event is the livestream sales program on the Tiktok Vietnam platform on December 1. This activity helps connect product consumption for 20 units participating in the Festival, bringing a modern and convenient shopping experience to consumers.
Here, visitors can admire and shop for agricultural and craft products, enjoy traditional art shows combined with Ao Dai performances, special dishes and the essence of Vietnamese tea. Artworks from the skillful hands of craft village artisans, high-quality agricultural products with clear traceability will bring visitors an unforgettable experience.
