On the afternoon of March 15, Song Tu Tay Island Infirmary - Truong Sa Archipelago provided emergency treatment to a Quang Nam fisherman who had pneumonia while fishing at sea.
The patient is fisherman Doan Van Hai (26 years old, from Binh Hai commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province) who got pneumonia while fishing at sea.
Previously, at 10:00 a.m. the same day, fishing boat QNa 95445 TS, captained by Mr. Tran Van Van (in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province), was operating in the northern sea about 20 nautical miles from Song Tu Tay island. At that time, the patient suddenly experienced abdominal pain in the chest area, chest tightness, belching, heartburn, accompanied by difficulty breathing, dry cough, headache that did not improve with rest. The fishermen on the fishing boat quickly took Mr. Hai to Song Tu Tay island for emergency treatment.

After examination, doctors at Song Tu Tay Island Infirmary diagnosed that fisherman Doan Van Hai had right-sided pneumonia. Military doctors administered oxygen to the patient, reduced secretions, protected the mucous membranes, and neutralized gastric juice. At the same time, doctors examined and provided medicine to 6 other fishermen on the boat.
The patient's health is currently stable and he continues to stay on the island for monitoring and treatment.
