The working delegation of Hai Duong province was led by comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Also attending were leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; some comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee; and leaders of some departments, branches, and sectors.
At the Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien Phu battlefield, the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap and the heroic martyrs - the country's outstanding sons, who devoted their strength and flesh to create the Dien Bien Phu Victory - one of the brilliant peaks, glorious miracles and a golden milestone in the history of our nation's struggle against foreign invaders.
The martyrs' temple at Dien Bien Phu battlefield was inaugurated on May 28, 2022, built on the relic of Hill F, a historic hill that witnessed the fiercest battle of our army. To offer incense to the heroic martyrs and compatriots at the main temple, the delegation had to go through 3 layers of space with unique architecture. Each layer of space, each detail, no matter how small, has its own meaning, conveying stories and the deepest gratitude of compatriots and soldiers nationwide for the great sacrifice of the heroic martyrs.
On the same afternoon, the delegation divided into 4 groups to visit and give gifts to 10 families of Hai Duong soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and are living in Dien Bien province, each gift worth 2.5 million VND.
At the families of the soldiers, the leaders of Hai Duong province warmly visited and wished that the soldiers would continue to uphold the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, live happily and healthily, set an example for their children and grandchildren to continue to strive to study, work and produce, enrich their homeland, and be worthy of the fighting tradition of their ancestors. The leaders of Hai Duong province requested the local authorities and families to continue to pay attention to the health of the soldiers from Hai Duong who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and are living in Dien Bien province, expressing deep gratitude to the generation that did not spare their blood and bones for the peace and independence of the nation.
Through the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dien Bien province, the delegation sent gifts to the families of soldiers from Hai Duong who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and are living in Dien Bien province, because they could not visit on this occasion.
Previously, the delegation had a working session with the Standing Committee of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee. The Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee gave an overview of the province's socio-economic development in recent times. He affirmed that Hai Duong province always accompanies and supports Dien Bien province in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction "The whole country looks to Dien Bien". On this occasion, Hai Duong province and districts, towns, cities, levels and sectors have many practical activities to show gratitude to soldiers who participated in the resistance war and served the Dien Bien Phu resistance war. On this occasion, Hai Duong province presented the Dien Bien province's Gratitude and Repayment Fund with 100 million VND.
Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged the material and spiritual support of the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Duong for Dien Bien province in the work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction and dilapidated houses elimination. Historically, Hai Duong province has made important contributions in both human and material terms, contributing to the Dien Bien Phu Victory. After the campaign, many people from Hai Duong stayed to build and develop Dien Bien province until today. This has deepened the solidarity and close relationship between Hai Duong and Dien Bien.

- Do Van Phien, born in 1930, native of Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang);
- Bui Xuan Thanh, born in 1930, native of Dinh Son commune (Cam Giang);
- Nguyen Hong Diep, born in 1930, native of Thuong Vu commune (Kim Thanh);
- Nguyen Van Mac, born in 1930, native of Thanh Binh ward (Hai Duong city);
- Hoang Van Nhien, born in 1927, native of Kien Quoc commune (Ninh Giang);
- Do Xuan Nha, born in 1932, native of Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang);
- Nguyen Duc Dang, born in 1930, native of Van Hoi commune (Ninh Giang);
- Nguyen Van Tuyen, born in 1926, originally from Ha Ky commune (Tu Ky).
