This year, Hanoi University of Pharmacy enrolls students by 4 methods: Direct admission; combining high school transcripts with SAT, ACT certificates or considering transcripts of specialized school students; considering thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; considering high school graduation exam scores.
For admission based on high school transcripts combined with international standardized tests, candidates need to have an SAT score of 1350/1600 or ACT 30/36 for Pharmacy; minimum SAT score of 1300 and ACT score of 27 for other majors. At the same time, candidates must have good academic performance for 3 years, with the academic results of grades 10, 11, and 12 of each subject in the admission group not lower than 8.
Admission score is the total score achieved plus converted priority points. In which: Total score achieved = SAT score * 90/1600 (or ACT score * 90/36) + (Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3) / 3.
Priority points converted = [(30 - Total points achieved/100*30)/7.5*Priority points]/30*100.
For students from specialized or gifted high schools, the admission requirements are three years of good academic performance in specialized classes in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; the score for each year of each subject in the group must not be less than 8. The admission score for this group is the total average score of each subject plus the converted priority points and incentive points.
Hanoi University of Pharmacy adds bonus points to candidates applying for admission under methods 2B, 3 and 4 if they have an IELTS certificate from 5.5 (add from 0.25 to 2 points), or win prizes in the provincial-level excellent student selection exam for grade 12 in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; national-level bonus points (add from 0.25 to 1 point).
Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy uses 4 admission methods. Of which, 3 methods apply to all majors including: admission method based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam; admission method based on the results of the high school graduation exam combined with preliminary selection of international English certificates; direct admission method according to the 2024 university admission regulations.
This is the first time the school has used the admission method based on SAT exam results for two majors: Medicine and Dentistry.
This year, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hue University) will enroll 1,690 students with two methods: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam (for all training majors); Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, combined with international English certificates (for Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy).
With the combined admission method, candidates must ensure that the total score of the 3 exams/subjects according to the admission combination and priority points (if any) must be equal to or above the minimum score to ensure input quality determined by the Ministry of Education and Training, and the admission score is determined by the Hue University Admissions Council.
At the same time, ensure the international English certificate requirement within the validity period. Candidates must achieve IELTS Academic 6.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT 79 or higher or TOEFL ITP 561 or higher.

Hanoi Medical University reserves up to 40% of its admission quota for combining high school graduation exam scores with international English and French certificates, applicable to the majors of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing trained under advanced programs.
Last year, the quota for this admission method was only about 20%.
The Military Medical Academy reserves 15% of its quota for direct admission, with priority given to admission and admission of excellent students. Candidates in this category must have excellent academic results in grades 10, 11 and semester 1 of grade 12, good conduct, combined with one of the following conditions: winning first, second, or third prize at the provincial or city level in one of the subjects in the admission group; having an English certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 55 or higher; having an SAT certificate of 1068/1600 points or higher; having an ACT certificate of 18/36 points or higher.
In addition, candidates wishing to enter the school must meet the following health standards: male 1.63m tall, 50kg or more; female 1.54m tall, 48kg or more.
After completing the first year, about 5% of the total enrollment quota will be selected by the school and sent to study at university abroad.
Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy applies a bonus point policy for candidates with international English certificates. Accordingly, candidates with IELTS 5.5 - 6.5 will be awarded 1 point, candidates with IELTS 7.0 - 7.5 will be awarded 1.5 points, candidates with IELTS 8.0 or higher will be awarded 2 points.
The University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) reserves 6% of its admission quota for candidates with IELTS certificates or equivalent international English certificates. Accordingly, the school requires IELTS 6.5 or higher for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy; IELTS 5.5 or higher for the remaining majors.
In addition, candidates need to have the 2024 high school graduation exam results that meet the admission threshold for the major according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University.
The school will give priority to candidates with an IELTS score of 8.0 or higher, based on the principle of considering IELTS scores from high to low until the quota is full. In case of exceeding the quota, candidates at the bottom of the list will be considered for the total score of 2 subjects in the admission combination, including math.
If there are still vacancies, the school will consider candidates with IELTS below 8.0. The admission score is the total converted IELTS score plus the score of 2 subjects in the admission group (compulsory math). Bonus points are added to the total admission score based on the high school graduation exam score.
Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy applies a policy of adding priority points for international English certificates for candidates applying for admission based on high school transcripts. The minimum added point is 0.25, the maximum is 1.0 corresponding to levels from B1 to C2.
In addition, the school reserves about 10% of the quota for the majors of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy for admission according to a separate project. The school prioritizes candidates with IELTS from 6.5 or higher combined with excellent academic records in 3 years of high school. The admission principle is to consider IELTS from high to low until the quota is full. Specifically, the quota for each major when considering IELTS is as follows: Medicine 20, Dentistry 4, Pharmacy 7.
Hai Duong Medical Technical University uses 5 admission methods. In which, method 4 considers admission by IELTS English certificate from 6.0 and TOEFL iBT from 60 or higher.
In addition, to be considered for admission to the Medical major, candidates must have a good academic record in 3 years of high school, an average score of 8.0 or higher in each of the 6 semesters of each pair of subjects: Math - Chemistry, Math - Physics or Math - Biology. For the remaining majors, candidates must have a good academic record in 3 years, an average score of 6.5 or higher in each of the 6 semesters of each pair of subjects as above.
International English certificate admission scores are converted to a 30-point scale as follows: IELTS score x 30/9 + priority points (if any) or TOEFL iBT score x 30/120 + priority points (if any).
Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy plans to add points for candidates with international English certificates, applicable to IELTS from 5.0.
