During Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023, the whole province welcomed 172,569 visitors, more than double that of Tourism Week 2022; hotel room occupancy reached 70-75%, of which in the Tam Coc - Trang An area it reached over 80%. The success of this event once again affirmed the attraction of a destination rich in traditional cultural and historical values.

Although it is an annual event, each year Ninh Binh Tourism Week brings unique experiences to visitors. Ms. Do Thu Huong, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said: "Those who have been attached to the rice fields will have the opportunity to bring back memories of their childhood when they come here to visit and enjoy the scenery. I was impressed by the bright yellow rice fields winding at the foot of the mountain. The fields are as beautiful as a painting, truly worthy of being one of the most unique and beautiful fields in Vietnam."
The sunny and favorable weather, the golden and brilliant rice fields are important factors contributing to the success of this year's Tourism Week. Many visitors could not hide their surprise and impression of the wonders that nature has bestowed upon Ninh Binh.
Adorning that natural picture is a field of nearly 10,000 square meters that has been shaped into the folk painting "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet" or "Carp Watching the Moon". The painting not only conveys the wish for national peace and prosperity, a year of favorable weather, good harvests, but also demonstrates the responsibility of the people and the government in their efforts to preserve the cultural and natural values of the Heritage for sustainable tourism exploitation.

Mr. To Thanh Nam - a photographer from Hanoi said: "I have had the opportunity to travel to many places and enjoy many beautiful landscapes, but every time I come to Tam Coc, I have indescribable emotions. Tam Coc in the ripe rice season is an endless source of inspiration for art enthusiasts. That is why this is also the third time I have come to Ninh Binh Tourism Week".
In addition to admiring the unique rice fields and immersing in the typical atmosphere of the Northern Delta, visitors can also enjoy the cultural colors from the activities of local people and professional artists. It is easy to see that this year's Tourism Week is organized with many unique and attractive cultural and artistic activities.
Sharing about the success after the event, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Oanh, President of the Hoa Lu District Women's Union, said: During the days of the Tourism Week, district women's union members regularly performed cultural and artistic performances such as sports folk dances, sword and dagger dances, unarmed martial arts and folk games. The vibrant atmosphere, diverse cultural colors with the images of graceful and friendly women attracted many tourists and people to watch and cheer.
Although the weather was quite sunny during the performances, and the members were all elderly women, everyone was enthusiastic, dedicated, and responsible. In particular, the performances were carefully and methodically invested, expressing the love for the homeland and the pride of the people of the ancient capital.
"Through the program, we hope to promote and introduce the unique, attractive features and outstanding values of tourism and cultural resources to visitors. From there, we call on everyone to join hands to preserve and promote the value of the Heritage" - Ms. Pham Thi Kim Oanh shared.

Held since 2018, Ninh Binh Tourism Week has become an important annual event to preserve, honor, promote natural and cultural values, and promote the image of Ninh Binh land and people. With flexible and creative organization, always renewing products, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 has proven to be a great attraction for domestic and international tourists, contributing to stimulating demand in the low season, increasing revenue and gradually building the brand "Tam Coc - Trang An yellow color".
According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, during Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 (from May 27 to June 4), the whole province welcomed 172,569 visitors, more than double that of Tourism Week 2022 (welcoming 85,000 visitors), of which international visitors reached over 30,000 visitors; visitors to the Tam Coc - Trang An area reached 72,275 visitors. Hotel room occupancy reached 70-75%, in the Tam Coc Trang An area it reached over 80%.
Although the number of visitors increased, thanks to the proactive coordination of local authorities, the Tourist Area Management Board and the awareness and responsibility of the people, the reception of visitors was ensured to be safe, leaving a good impression on visitors.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Phong, Executive Director of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourism Management Board informed: "After the success of the Tourism Week, we continue to coordinate with the local people to extend the growth period of rice plants, take good care of the regenerated rice area and the flower river. At the same time, we will research and introduce unique tourism products in 2024, gradually making Tam Coc fields a recognizable brand of Ninh Binh tourism".
The success of this event will continue to create important momentum for Ninh Binh to exceed the target of welcoming 5.35 million visitors in 2023, demonstrating the efforts of the government and people of Ninh Binh in realizing the goal of making tourism a spearhead economic sector.
