Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang hopes Denmark will continue to share experiences and support Vietnam in improving its capacity to respond to natural disasters and adapt to climate change in the coming time.

During her visit to Denmark, on September 18, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang worked with Mr. Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark; Mr. Ole Thonke, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the Partnership for Green Growth and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (P4G) and the Organizing Committee of the first P4G Summit in 2018.
During the meetings, the two sides expressed their delight at the fact that the bilateral relationship is at its best stage in more than 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations with important strategic frameworks (Strategic Partnership in the fields of climate change, energy, environment and green growth since 2011, Comprehensive Partnership in 2013 and Green Strategic Partnership in 2023).
Danish partners expressed their impression of Vietnam's remarkable development, which in just 15-20 years has transformed from a country receiving official development assistance (ODA) to an important partner of Denmark, and a top market of interest for Danish businesses in the region.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang thanked Denmark for its support in recent times, affirming that Denmark's ODA has made an important contribution to Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements.
Expressing gratitude to Denmark for sending condolences and sharing deeply with the great losses caused by storm No. 3, internationally named Yagi, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that cooperation in green transformation and environmental protection with Denmark is more important and urgent than ever; hoping that Denmark will continue to share experiences and support Vietnam in improving its capacity to respond to natural disasters and adapt to climate change in the coming time.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang highly appreciated the green, low-emission investment project of the Lego Group, and suggested that Denmark continue to create favorable conditions for Danish enterprises to expand investment and business in Denmark's strong fields such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, green transformation and sustainable development.
The two sides were pleased with the development and strategic contributions of P4G in promoting public-private cooperation, supporting member countries to promote green transformation, and contributing to creating an ecosystem for global green growth.
Danish partners emphasized that Vietnam's trust in hosting the 4th P4G Summit demonstrates the countries' recognition and appreciation of Vietnam's determination to transform, believing that organizing the conference in Vietnam will help create a typical model of cooperation on a global scale, creating motivation for countries to act together for the common goal of greening and reducing emissions.
Danish partners thanked Vietnam for its active and responsible contributions and wished to continue working with Vietnam to promote, maintain the momentum of cooperation and strengthen the role of P4G, and coordinate with other multilateral mechanisms to implement global climate goals.
At the meeting, Danish partners shared their experiences in organizing the first P4G Summit, highly appreciated Vietnam's preparations, supported Vietnam's priorities and proposals, believed that Vietnam would do a good job hosting, and committed to supporting and closely coordinating with Vietnam to successfully organize the conference./.
