The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave an overview of the socio-economic development situation of Dien Bien province, contents related to gender equality, vocational training, job introduction, climate change response, education and training, etc.
In order to continue to strengthen and promote the friendly and cooperative relations between Dien Bien province and agencies and organizations of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in the coming time, Dien Bien province hopes that the Ambassador will continue to support and promote the image of Dien Bien to international friends and partners in various fields. In particular, paying attention to supporting education and training programs in Dien Bien province, such as: granting scholarships to support bachelor's and master's training for students, civil servants and public employees of the province; providing short-term training for English teachers of the province; supporting investment in facilities and teaching equipment for educational institutions in the province...

Mr. Iain Frew, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Vietnam, congratulated the province on its socio-economic development achievements. In his role as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Vietnam, Mr. Iain Frew affirmed that he will continue to coordinate with the province to implement investment promotion activities, promote friendly relations and cooperation between Dien Bien province and agencies and organizations of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, especially in the fields related to education and training, climate change, etc. The Ambassador is also willing to connect and support Dien Bien to call for investors from the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to invest in the locality in areas where the province has strengths.
