Gia Lai Provincial People's Council delegates hold dialogue with children

The 2025 contact and dialogue program was chaired by Mr. Ho Van Nien, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Truong Van Dat, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Ayun H'But, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Attending the program were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung; representatives of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Council, representatives of Departments, branches and sectors; teachers working as Team Leaders and 200 outstanding children from 17 districts, towns and cities.

Mr. Vu Tien Anh, Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, briefly reported on the results of handling children's opinions and recommendations after the program of contact and dialogue between the Provincial People's Council delegates and children of Gia Lai province in 2024. Specifically, in the past time, Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches and organizations in the province have always paid attention to prioritizing resources for the work of caring for, educating and protecting children to ensure better and better the rights of children in order to create conditions for children in the province to develop comprehensively in all aspects.

The theme of this year's Dialogue Program is "Creating a safe environment for Gia Lai children when going to school". It focuses on key groups of issues such as: preventing and combating school violence; preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants in the school environment; promoting traffic safety; preventing and combating accidents, injuries, drowning, and child abuse; promoting children's laws; promoting forums to build beautiful friendships, saying no to school violence...

Children participating in the program boldly expressed their thoughts and aspirations, and discussed with the provincial People's Council delegates about groups of issues: school violence, extra teaching, extra learning, life skills; cyberspace safety, management of internet and social network use; malnutrition rate in children in remote areas; child abuse and violence; prevention of smoking, buying and selling unsafe food in front of school gates; preserving traditional cultural identity; child marriage in ethnic minority areas...

The recommendations of children at the program "Contact, dialogue between provincial People's Council delegates and children" of Gia Lai province in 2025 were listened to, accepted and answered by departments, branches and sectors within their authority. At the same time, based on their functions and tasks, many solutions and activities have been implemented to solve problems for children in the area.

The program "Dialogue between Provincial People's Council delegates and children" was first held in 2018. The program is held annually with the desire to promote the implementation of the 2016 Law on Children, children's rights to participate in local children's issues, and create conditions for children to express their voices.
