On the evening of March 10, the opening ceremony of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 with the theme "Destination of world coffee" officially took place at the 10/3 square, solemn and full of pride in the heroic land, rich in identity, the homeland of the best Robusta coffee beans in the world.

The opening ceremony was attended by Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, Buon Ma Thuot City and other localities; General Director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO) - Ms. Vanusia Nogueira; representatives of ministries, central departments, diplomatic corps, organizations, associations, enterprises and a large number of domestic and foreign reporters.
With special content praising the people and land of Buon Ma Thuot, honoring the values of Buon Ma Thuot Robusta coffee, Vietnamese coffee culture, the Opening Ceremony attracted thousands of domestic and international tourists, local people to watch right at the square, as well as through live television programs on Vietnam Television - VTV1 channel & DRT Channel - Dak Lak Radio and Television Station, Radio and Television Stations of the Central Highlands provinces.
Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of world coffee
The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, taking place from March 9-13, is a major event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory Day and the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025).
As one of the important activities of this year's festival, the opening ceremony was elaborately staged, on a large scale with a solemn ceremonial program with the participation of many leaders of the Party, State, central and local ministries, branches, organizations, world coffee associations and many invited guests from more than 30 countries. At the same time, the special art program honoring Buon Ma Thuot Robusta coffee beans and Vietnamese coffee culture gathered more than 1,500 artists, singers, actors, students in Dak Lak province, domestic and international art troupes.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister delivered a speech welcoming the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and emphasized the value of Vietnamese coffee: “Coffee is one of Vietnam's key agricultural products, a pillar of national agricultural exports, affirming Vietnam's position as one of the world's leading coffee exporters, playing an important role in the country's socio-economic development. The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 not only honors Vietnamese coffee, a symbol of creativity and success, but is also a global forum where coffee producing and consuming countries converge, sharing a sustainable vision for the world coffee industry.”
Also in the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, said: “The Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival is an outstanding economic and cultural event of Dak Lak province.
