Opening the speeches of partners, businesses and investors at the International Cooperation Workshop to promote business investment taking advantage of new trends organized by the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Mr. Pietro Piciocchi, Acting Mayor of Genoa City, Italy expressed his desire to cooperate with Da Nang City in the fields of innovation and culture, together towards the future and today's event will contribute significantly to opening the door to cooperation.

Regarding innovation, Mr. Pietro Piciocchi affirmed that “we have it in our action program and going outside has always been the goal of the technology industry and scientific research.”
However, the Acting Mayor of Genoa, Italy, noted that the action program cannot ignore the element of sustainable development. Only public policies that strategically consider these areas can ensure sustainable development goals, meet environmental protection goals, and respond to global challenges.
According to Mr. Jin Shangjun, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Jiangsu Province, China, the locality proposed cooperation with Da Nang and Vietnam in three areas.
First is to actively expand investment and trade cooperation.
The representative of Jiangxi province affirmed that with a solid industrial foundation and a large consumer market, Jiangxi is ready to connect with the development strategies and plans of Vietnam and especially Da Nang City, promoting two-way investment and trade, welcoming many high-quality products from Vietnam into the Jiangsu market; at the same time, encouraging Jiangsu enterprises to increase investment in Vietnam by sharing opportunities and market potential so that both sides can build supply chains and regional industrial parks that are more competitive and resilient.
The remaining two areas are cooperation in promoting infrastructure development cooperation; developing industrial zones, sharing experiences and exploring new economic development drivers.
“We are willing to exchange with Da Nang City in the fields of industrial park and economic development, and share experiences with the city in exploring new economic development drivers,” Mr. Jin Shangjun shared.
Da Nang – ideal destination
As an enterprise that has invested in Da Nang, Mr. Richard Leech, Deputy General Director of Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company, Sovico Group informed that locally, in addition to real estate and aviation, Sovico also has a significant presence in the financial sector including HD Bank and the financial business sector.

Along with that, the National Assembly's resolutions are designed to create a favorable environment for investment in innovation in Da Nang, positioning it to become a leading city - manufacturing center for semiconductor chip production, AI development, and data center operations in the region.
