On September 25, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that it had just approved the investment project to build Hoa Thuan Dong Primary and Secondary School and expand alley 149 Le Dinh Ly (in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward, Hai Chau District) with a total investment of more than 135 billion VND, implemented from 2023 - 2026.
Specifically, Da Nang City will build a new Hoa Thuan Dong Primary and Secondary School with a total land area of 5,206 m2 including the following items: administrative block, classrooms, subject classrooms with a scale of 4 floors (including 4 blocks of buildings arranged in a U-shape, with a multi-purpose hall); 35 classrooms, 7 subject classrooms (fine arts, music, foreign languages, information technology, technology, natural sciences, social sciences), 1 multi-purpose room; administrative, working and functional rooms...
The project also includes the construction of a swimming pool and ancillary buildings; outdoor technical infrastructure, fire protection system and school yard, landscape, trees; fence system, gate, permanent house and garage...
The "golden land" at 271 Nguyen Tri Phuong was used by the People's Committee of Da Nang City to build an inter-level school.
As Thanh Nien reported, in September 2022, the Ministry of National Defense agreed in principle to transfer 7,404 m2 of defense land at 271 Nguyen Tri Phuong (Hoa Thuan Dong Ward) to local management and use. Of which, an area of more than 5,200 m2 will be used to build a school (not used for other purposes), the remaining area will be used to open roads.
In 2023, the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that due to the lack of a secondary school, students in Hoa Thuan Dong Ward had to be divided to study at Ly Thuong Kiet and Tran Hung Dao Secondary Schools, causing many difficulties for students in the area. Along with that, the number of primary school students in Hoa Thuan Tay and Hoa Thuan Dong Wards increased every year, putting pressure on first grade enrollment.
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the construction of Hoa Thuan Dong Primary and Secondary School will ensure the material facilities, meet the needs of students in the ward and neighboring wards, reduce the overload of schools in the district, gradually ensure the scale of teaching at schools in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; at the same time, upgrade traffic infrastructure, synchronize technical infrastructure and landscape in the area.
