According to Neowin , two of the most popular mobile games of all time, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale from Supercell, are now playable on PC. Accordingly, both titles are available on the beta version of Google Play Games that launched for Windows PC in January 2022.
In a post on the Supercell website, the company stated: "Our dream is to create great games that are played by as many people as possible, that last for years and that are remembered forever. Now, for the first time, we will officially support two games on PC. We hope this change will bring the Clash series closer to more players and more accessible."
Clash of Clans is now available on PC after more than 10 years of operation
Clash of Clans was first released in 2012 and this mobile strategy game allows players to build villages and attack other players' villages. Players can also form clans to compete with each other. Clash Royale is a spin-off game that was released in 2016. It is a massively multiplayer online tower defense game. Both of these free-to-play games have generated billions of dollars in revenue for Supercell in the years since their release on iOS and Android.
Supercell says the PC versions of these games will support mice, have “optimized graphics and advanced performance capabilities,” and feature cross-platform play with the mobile versions, with players with a Supercell ID able to log in to both the mobile and PC versions and cross-save their progress across those platforms.
