Accordingly, within the framework of the project, Grab has installed 50 benches, including: 20 benches at Dong Ba market, 20 benches at Hue Imperial City and 10 benches on Phu Mong street. These are areas with a large population and tourists.
In addition to creating landscapes and resting places, each bench is numbered and has a QR code integrated. When scanning this QR code, locals and tourists can easily identify the destination, making it more convenient to connect, move, and visit. In addition, you can also explore and experience Hue Food Tour with thousands of suggestions through the application.
Representative of Grab Company Limited presented stone benches to related units.
Ms. Dang Thuy Trang, Director of External Affairs, Grab Vietnam, shared: "Grab always focuses on optimizing the convenience of local users when experiencing daily services, while creating more income opportunities for driver and restaurant partners. This project has allowed us to realize that goal.
Grab is very grateful for the support of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province and local authorities to be able to soon complete the installation of stone benches, contributing to the development of public utilities to better serve local people and attract more tourists. This also promises to bring business opportunities and economic development to the city's people in general."
The "Grab stone bench" initiative hopes to contribute to the development of community utilities, promoting Hue tourism in particular and Vietnam tourism in general.
Welcoming Grab’s initiative, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, said that through similar activities, the locality hopes to develop public utilities, bringing new experiences to tourists when coming to Hue. Thereby, contributing to promoting the development of Hue tourism in the coming time. This is also one of the activities contributing to promoting digital transformation in the tourism industry.
It is known that in addition to Hue City, from the end of 2023, Grab will also install more than 300 stone benches with similar models in the cities of Vung Tau, Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Nha Trang. These projects are part of Grab's efforts to join hands in developing public utilities and contributing to promoting tourism in Vietnam.
