On the evening of January 5, the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 (Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security) said that they had invited driver NHGB (born in 1987, residing in Tien Giang) to come in for questioning. Driver NHGB was identified as the person who drove the car at 210 km/h on the My Thuan - Can Tho highway and then filmed the clip and posted it on social media.

Working with the Traffic Police Department, driver B. admitted to driving the car at 210 km/h. Notably, driver B. used a driver's license that had expired since February 2015. Driver B. drove at high speed with the purpose of filming a clip and posting it on social media.
The Highway 7 Traffic Patrol Team has issued a ticket to driver B. for two violations: driving at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 35 km/h; and having a driver's license that has expired for 3 months or more. Driver B. will be fined 10-12 million VND for speeding and 10-12 million VND for using a driver's license that has expired for 3 months or more.

Previously, a clip of more than 5 minutes long was circulated on social media, recording a driver driving a car on the My Thuan - Can Tho highway at a very high speed, sometimes up to 210 km/h. The clip shows the driver driving at night, passing many vehicles traveling in the same direction.
Immediately after the above clip was spread on social networks, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 conducted verification to handle the incident according to regulations.
