In order to create a basis for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of urban management, in recent times, the city has always paid attention to and promptly implemented the work of reviewing and updating the master plan until 2040 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 296/QD-TTg dated April 10, 2024, and organized the public announcement of the approved project according to regulations. The city has also approved 10 projects to locally adjust the detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 for residential land, 10 master plans for land use, 2 tasks of making new planning; approving and adjusting investment policies, investors and changing land use purposes of projects... Construction management in the area has also been focused on, construction works have been strictly controlled, bringing about positive changes. In 2024, the city has licensed over 1,300 cases of construction of individual houses, 8 unit works; approved 30 investment projects for construction works with a total investment of 774 billion VND; inspected, accepted and put into use 39 works...
Viet Tri has also identified infrastructure management and ensuring traffic safety and order as key tasks in building a civilized and modern city. Every year, the city manages the road traffic system, green infrastructure, lighting, and inland waterway ports in the area according to its decentralized responsibilities and authority. In particular, Viet Tri always pays attention to investing in renovating and upgrading the residential traffic infrastructure system to meet actual needs and improve the quality of people's lives. In 2024, the city will build 26km of residential roads with cement concrete, asphalt concrete and pave nearly 64,000 m2 of sidewalks from socialized capital.
Comrade Nguyen Quang Huy - Head of Urban Management Department, Viet Tri city said: Every year, the Department organizes the implementation and completion of projects invested by the Department. Last year, the Department completed the following projects: Renovation and embellishment of the parking lot in Van Lang park area, the intersection of Tran Phu street and Tien Dung street; supplementing, repairing and replacing road signs, street name signs, alley signs on inner-city roads; painting lines for sales locations and parking spaces on the sidewalks of Tran Phu and Nguyen Tat Thanh streets around Van Lang park area. Currently, the Department is speeding up the implementation of the project on the lighting system, trees, and sidewalks of some inner-city roads in Viet Tri city to complete on schedule, ensure quality, and contribute to creating a bright, beautiful, civilized and modern urban appearance of Viet Tri.
Viet Tri has developed and implemented plans to ensure traffic safety and order; at the same time, launched peak periods to handle violations of illegal use of road traffic safety corridors in the area; launched campaigns to clear violations of encroachment on roadsides and sidewalks for illegal trading and business. At the same time, in order to build a green - clean - beautiful urban image, the city always pays attention to the management of natural resources and environment. In particular, Viet Tri has issued and implemented the City Environmental Project for the period 2020-2025, with a vision to 2030. Up to now, the implementation of the Environmental Protection Project has been of interest to wards and communes, thoroughly resolving a number of spontaneous landfills, limiting the burning of garbage and dumping of garbage at the wrong time and place. The project has also received enthusiastic and positive responses from the city's socio-political organizations and the participation of a large number of people.
