Since 2016, the Prime Minister has decided that March 25th of each year is Vietnam Social Work Day. This is also an occasion to honor the noble values and humanistic significance of the social work profession, and to recognize the role and contributions of social workers in ensuring social security in the province.
At the Provincial Social Work Center, 108 subjects including social protection subjects and volunteers are being nurtured and cared for, mainly lonely elderly people, people with disabilities, orphans, abandoned children, and homeless children. Each person who comes here brings a story, a separate fate, but they have found a common home, where they are warmed by the love, dedication, and responsibility of social workers.
At the center, where many strangers come to live together under one roof, social workers like Ms. Nhung have to play the role of mother, child, grandchild in the family, understanding the circumstances of each subject, not only caring and nurturing, but more than that, it is also the affection and sharing for the less fortunate lives.
Along with the concentrated nurturing activities, ensuring good material and spiritual life for social protection beneficiaries, in recent times, the Provincial Social Work Center has done a good job of providing social work services to the community. In addition to mobile propaganda activities to prevent and collect vagrants and beggars, contributing to ensuring urban beauty and social order and safety, the center has also effectively implemented community development models to promote the ability to identify and improve the capacity to solve existing problems in the community with the goal of building a developed society. Overcoming all difficulties of the specific nature of the job, each social worker always strives to provide quality social work services to the community, contributing to the health sector to effectively carry out social security work in the province.
With efforts to fulfill its noble mission, Vinh Phuc Provincial Social Work Center has become a common home for many unfortunate people. They are being "lit up" and "warmed" every day by the love, dedication and responsibility of social workers, with the goal of "No one is left behind".
