According to the announcement of the results of Plasmacluster technology testing in Vietnam by Sharp Corporation on October 10, exposure to Plasmacluster ions can help improve driving performance even when driving in an actual vehicle.
Previously, Hyper Digital Twin - a Japanese company specializing in driving support research - conducted a study to test the driving efficiency when exposed to Plasmacluster ions of 50 technology car company drivers in a large city - with high traffic volume, requiring a high level of concentration when driving - in Vietnam.
The results showed that 84% of drivers in the test reduced sudden movements such as hard braking and hard steering. The daily sudden movements of drivers were also reduced by an average of 37%.
About 21% of drivers felt less sleepy and were able to drive more alert than usual. About 22% of drivers felt they were able to maintain a higher level of concentration than usual.
Dr. Ito Toshi, CEO of Hyper Digital Twins Technology Company, commented: “Our research confirms that driver exposure to Plasmacluster ions while driving actually reduces drowsiness, maintains concentration and supports improved driving performance, by reducing sudden driving movements.
This result supports previous studies and it is believed that Plasmacluster ions maintain and improve concentration, allowing drivers to perceive hazards early and making driving easy and comfortable”.
What is Plasmacluster technology?
Plasmacluster technology is an air purification technology that uses positive and negative ions similar to those found in nature and has a high level of safety and various effects. This technology helps improve driving efficiency in real traffic conditions.
Sharp Corporation representative said that they will continuously verify the effectiveness and mechanism of this technology on humans to improve the reliability of the technology, and will further research the effectiveness and applicability of Plasmacluster technology in new fields.
