Announcement of Cu Ebur commune, Buon Ma Thuot city reaching advanced new rural standards

On November 23, Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee held a ceremony to announce Cu Ebur commune meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023.

Cu Ebur commune was recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2017. By 2023, Cu Ebur commune had completed 19/19 criteria to meet advanced new rural standards and on November 4, 2024, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2781/QD-UBND, recognizing Cu Ebur commune, Buon Ma Thuot city to meet advanced new rural standards in 2023.

The results of the commune's advanced new rural construction are clearly shown in aspects such as: the material and spiritual life of rural people is constantly improving; the multidimensional poverty rate is only 1.06%. The average income per capita reaches more than 57 million VND/person/year. Infrastructure is increasingly invested synchronously and completed, meeting the requirements of production development and people's lives; 100% of inter-commune roads and village roads have been asphalted; 91.73% of alleys and hamlets have been concreted; 83.48% of main roads in the fields have been hardened; 94.4% of agricultural land area is irrigated and actively irrigated.

Cultural facilities ensure cultural and sports activities of the people; the ecological environment is improved; clean water systems, high-quality ecological agricultural production associated with experiential tourism are focused on investment and implementation; many production linkage models are formed according to the value chain associated with the commune's key products.

The movement of the entire people joining hands to build new rural areas has been actively responded to by the people and has become a widespread emulation movement.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoai Duong acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility, the constant striving and efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Cu Ebur commune in their determination to carry out and excellently complete the task of building advanced new rural areas.

To maintain and promote the achieved results, continue to effectively implement the New Rural Construction Program, strive to build a model new rural commune, comrade Nguyen Hoai Duong requested the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Cu Ebur commune to focus on reviewing, directing the implementation, fully meeting and improving the standard level according to the requirements of the National Criteria for Advanced New Rural Communes in the period of 2021-2025 to create a premise to strive for a model new rural commune; further strengthen information and propaganda work on new rural construction; clearly define the roles, responsibilities and coordination of agencies, organizations and people in new rural construction...

In addition, continue to improve and enhance the quality of the infrastructure system serving production and people's lives in rural areas; focus on directing the application of technical advances and high technology in production; pay attention to environmental protection and creating bright, green, clean and beautiful rural ecological landscapes; develop education, healthcare, grassroots culture and preserve and promote traditional cultural values ​​associated with the development of rural tourism economy; improve the quality and effectiveness of the mass movement to protect national security, ensuring the maintenance of political security and social order and safety.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 11 individuals and households; the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot city awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 18 individuals of Cu Ebur commune for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the emulation movement "Dak Lak joins hands to build new rural areas" in the period of 2021-2025.
