Graduating with a master's degree in Journalism - Communication and Globalization from Aarhus University (Denmark) and Hamburg University (Germany), along with years of working and traveling throughout Europe before that, Giang had valuable experiences. Living independently, going to many places, and communicating with friends from many cultures created a "curious" version of Giang Pham. Through that, it helped him orient his career path clearly to choose a job that allows him to go, see, and tell stories.

Giang worked at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, and collaborated with many domestic and foreign press agencies and projects. He just returned from the American Birkiebeiner - the largest cross-country ski race in North America with over 50 years of history. Working for the first time in an environment near -20 degrees Celsius, his limbs were numb and he couldn't press the shutter even though he had prepared quite carefully with warm clothes. He diligently observed his colleagues and locals to learn how to stay warm, ensuring that he completed all tasks well.

Giang miệt mài đến nhiều nơi để lưu lại những bức ảnh có chiều sâu về mặt thông điệp và nhân vật

Giang traveled to many places to capture photos with depth in terms of message and character.

Being taciturn, calm, and steadfast are Giang’s outstanding personality traits. For him, even facing daily challenges at work is a way to look back at oneself. Thanks to that, we learn and grow continuously.

Understand yourself, understand others

Giang has traveled to 45 countries and territories. Each place has its own memorable experiences. To integrate into the local community and limit unnecessary conflicts, according to him, the most important thing is to understand yourself and others. "Understand yourself to know who you are, where you come from, how you are different from where you come from. Understand others to sympathize with the differences, to know how to adjust your lifestyle accordingly" - Giang shared.

Language and socio-cultural understanding are also important, helping Giang to be less shy and more confident.

Having worked on many projects with different responsibilities, Giang has gained a comprehensive understanding of the profession and started from the lowest position, helping her quickly get acquainted with the working process. Giang also has many perspectives, from both the manager and the employee side, to find the best way to solve any problem.

Since working in the US, in addition to his experience as a middle manager at a global company, Giang has understood Americans, life and work better here. The working culture here is very different from Europe and Asia, so the way of communication and work coordination must also change. For example, in the US, individual lifestyle is highly valued, people prioritize convenience for themselves, so he needs to give them more freedom in traveling and choosing accommodation within their budget, while in Asia, they are more accepting of living together in groups. He always reminds himself to make an effort to explore, understand deeply about people and life, build a solid set of professional skills and expand the circle of quality connections across five continents.

Giang's colorful journey can be an ideal picture for many young people who dream of becoming global citizens. Stepping out of his comfort zone and breaking through in the international market, Giang still wants to return to serve his homeland in the future. "Many areas in Vietnam still have development projects, many stories, people, many social issues, many cultural heritages that need to be told and preserved. I want to continue living and participating in those valuable movements," he emphasized.
