On March 23, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that the People's Committee will reward the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club with VND200 million. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports also decided to reward VND100 million.
Previously, right after the 5-4 victory over Abu Dhabi Country Club (UAE) on the night of March 23, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) awarded 500 million VND, and the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) awarded 200 million VND. Thus, coach Kim Chi and her team were awarded a total of 1 billion VND after this impressive victory.
In addition, the Vietnamese representative will also receive a large sum of money from the Asian Football Confederation for reaching the semi-finals. This amount is estimated to be around 340,000 USD.
In the semi-finals of the Asian Cup 1, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will meet the winner of the match between Urawa Red Diamond (Japan) and Wuhan Jiangda (China).
The semi-final match is scheduled to take place on May 21. Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will be the away team in the semi-final match of the Asian Cup 1.
