Lank Club wants to keep Huynh Nhu for another year

The Portuguese team has begun negotiations to activate the clause that keeps striker Huynh Nhu until August 2024.

Huynh Nhu is the first Vietnamese female player to play in the Portuguese National Championship.

Sharing with VnExpress , a source from Lank Club said that Huynh Nhu's initial contract is for one year, with a clause allowing for a one-year extension. Satisfied with the performance of the Vietnamese team captain, the Portuguese team has begun negotiations to activate the extension clause.

Huynh Nhu was allowed by Lank to play in the 32nd SEA Games, and together with the team won the gold medal for the fourth consecutive time. She then continued to join her teammates to prepare for the World Cup opening in July. This sparked rumors that Huynh Nhu and Lank had broken up. However, the representative of the Portuguese team said that Huynh Nhu was allowed to stay in Vietnam because the Portuguese Women's National Championship ended on May 21.

Huynh Nhu signed a one-year contract with Lank on August 26, 2022. She has scored five goals in the Portuguese Women's National Championship and two goals in the National Cup. Huynh Nhu said she is happy with her life at Lank. The striker is expected to return to Lank after the 2023 World Cup to renew her contract.

Huynh Nhu was born in 1991 in Tra Vinh. She played for the Ho Chi Minh City first team since 2007 and won 7 national championships before moving to Lank. Huynh Nhu has been the top scorer in the national championship five times and won the Golden Ball award five times. This striker is currently the captain of the Vietnamese women's team, having won an AFF Cup championship and four SEA Games gold medals with the team.
