The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union Table Tennis Club promotes the spirit of sportsmanship

On the afternoon of March 12, at the Institute of International Defense Relations, the Table Tennis Club of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union and the Table Tennis Club of the Institute of International Defense Relations - Ministry of National Defense organized a friendly competition.

Attending the exchange program were Ms. Do Ngoc Thuy - Chairwoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union and Major General Duong Quy Nam - Director of the Institute of International Defense Relations along with leaders, officers and 30 athletes of the two units.

The competition includes men's leader singles, men's officer singles, and men's and women's officer team.

The exchange took place in a joyful sporting atmosphere, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and working relationship between the Institute of International Defense Relations and the functional units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the end of the program, representatives of the two units presented souvenir cups to the two competing teams and commemorative medals to the athletes.

In addition, towards the 79th anniversary of the tradition of the Foreign Security Force (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2025), on March 21, the Foreign Security Department, Ministry of Public Security organized the first A01 Open Table Tennis Tournament. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union sent 20 athletes to participate in the competitions including leader singles, male officer singles, and male and female officer team.

Participation in this table tennis tournament contributes to consolidating and strengthening the working relationship between the units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Department of Foreign Security, the Ministry of Public Security and other partners, practically serving the implementation of assigned tasks.

As one of the strong sports teams of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union, in 2024, the Table Tennis Team won the Bronze Medal for the civil servant trade union. The Ministry's Trade Union is making efforts to promote the sports movement towards the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Industry (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and according to the cultural and sports work program, including the opening activity for the series of sports exchange events "MOFA expansion". These practical activities contribute to promoting the sports movement and improving the health of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' officials.
