The Buddha's Birthday celebration at Cam Son Pagoda (Ha Tinh City) is an opportunity for monks, nuns, and Buddhists to review the life and immeasurable merits of Buddha Shakyamuni.
On the morning of June 4, at Cam Son Pagoda (Dai Nai Ward, Ha Tinh City), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Tinh City solemnly held the Buddha's Birthday celebration - Buddhist year 2567, solar year 2023.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Religious Committee, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ha Tinh province, local leaders, along with a large number of Buddhists and people.
At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Quang Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Tinh province read the Buddha's birthday message from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The message acknowledged the merits of all levels of the Sangha and Buddhist followers who have done a good job of serving and hoped that everyone would continue to be united and join hands to contribute to serving humanity...
This year, on Buddha's birthday, Buddhists also expressed their respect for the 60th anniversary of the day Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc, the head monk, burned himself to death to fight for national peace.
