Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son visited the sightseeing stop in Vieng village, Huu Vinh commune. Since 2022, the commune's Party Committee and authorities have mobilized people to contribute land and change the purpose from growing corn and rice to growing flowers, creating a highlight to attract tourists to take pictures. Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son visited the Taiwanese mango growing model in Huu Vinh commune. Currently, the whole commune has 48 hectares, of which nearly 4 hectares are harvested, with high fruit yield, good fruit quality, the average weight of each fruit ranges from 600g - 1.4kg/fruit. Through the actual inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the leaders of Yen Minh district to expand the area to areas with sufficient land and climate conditions, focusing on developing mango and honey pineapple trees into concentrated commodity production areas, with the impact of science and technology, helping people access new production knowledge. At the same time, proactively promote trade, creating links between key consumption enterprises and people.
Regarding the land planned for the central market of Yen Minh town, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son requested Yen Minh district to urgently review the planning, conduct detailed and clear measurements, and complete the procedures for submission to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. At the same time, carry out planning steps for the new market to ensure the criteria for land location in the commercial land planning; plan the market into specific sub-areas such as: Livestock market area, kiosk area, parking lot, entrance road and surrounding road of the market, ensuring the criteria of ventilation, cleanliness and meeting the long-term development needs of the people.
