The Vietnamese women's team will gather again at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VFF) from tomorrow (August 10) to prepare for the 19th ASIAD taking place in China next September.

In this training session, striker Huynh Nhu will temporarily not participate due to waiting for the opinion of the home club - Lank Vilaverdense Club.
In this training session, coach Mai Duc Chung and his colleagues added many young faces such as: Nguyen Thi Hoa, Pham Thi Lan Anh (Hanoi); Tran Thi Duyen, Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh (Ha Nam), increasing the number of players born after 2000 of the Vietnam women's team to 11 players (out of a total of 25 players called up). Calling more players to join the team is part of the plan to train the next generation for the Vietnam women's team, preparing for future goals.

In the case of Huynh Nhu, this striker is still in the process of completing a contract with Lank Vilaverdense Club, so whether Huynh Nhu will join the training and compete with the Vietnamese women's team at ASIAD 19 or not will be confirmed after reaching an agreement with the home club. In this training session, the team will not have midfielder Tran Thi Thuy Trang like at the 2023 Women's World Cup.
According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from August 10 to August 19. After that, the team will have a training trip in Hai Phong before returning to Hanoi to prepare for their trip to China.
According to the draw results on July 27, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group D with the Japanese, Nepalese and Bangladeshi women's teams. The group stage matches of the Vietnamese women's team will take place from September 22 to September 28 at the Wenzhou Olympic Stadium, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China.
