The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch directing the strengthening of coordination in handling the situation of vagrancy, begging, street vending, overcharging and soliciting tourists in the city.
To strengthen the resolution of the above issue, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the People's Committees of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City to comprehensively assess the current situation in the area, especially public areas and tourist attractions, organize a review, compile a list of subjects who are beggars, lottery ticket sellers, and those who are frequently present in public areas, wandering, begging, selling street goods, "ripping off", soliciting, causing trouble, violating the property of tourists at tourist attractions, central areas, causing insecurity and disorder... to focus on directing the deployment of relevant forces to coordinate and handle the matter thoroughly.

Along with that, the Department of Health and the People's Committees of localities preside over and coordinate with relevant units to establish an interdisciplinary inspection team of the city and each district, Thu Duc City regularly arranges forces to inspect and handle the above situation in accordance with regulations.
The city leaders assigned the Department of Health, the Department of Culture and Sports and the People's Committees of localities to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to strengthen propaganda, dissemination and education work in the whole society, all classes of people to strictly implement policies, laws and regulations in many rich and diverse forms. Ho Chi Minh City Police is responsible for coordinating with the City Youth Volunteer Force, Urban Order under the District People's Committee, and relevant units to strengthen patrolling, controlling, and strictly handling violations of traffic safety and urban order; conducting investigations, verifying and solving cases, arresting mobile criminals, fighting against "street crimes"; handling acts of herding, stalking, soliciting tourists, and violating tourists' property in public areas and tourist attractions in the city.
