President Luong Cuong releases goldfish to see off Mr. Cong and Mr. Tao

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of January 19, President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with a delegation of overseas Vietnamese, returned to celebrate "Spring in the homeland" and performed the ritual of releasing carp to send off the Kitchen Gods on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty.
This morning (January 19), the 20th of the 12th lunar month of the year of the Dragon, President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with nearly 100 overseas Vietnamese delegates, offered incense at Kinh Thien Palace in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site, Hanoi. The event took place within the framework of the "Homeland Spring 2025" program. President Luong Cuong and his wife offer incense at Kinh Thien Palace in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site. Overseas Vietnamese delegates offered incense together immediately afterwards. This ceremony at Kinh Thien Palace in Thang Long Imperial Citadel was to express respect and remembrance for generations of ancestors who fought and sacrificed to preserve and protect the country. Afterwards, the President and his wife, along with overseas Vietnamese delegates, participated in the carp release to see off the Kitchen Gods at Uncle Ho's fish pond in the Presidential Palace Relic Site. President Luong Cuong and his wife feed the fish right after releasing them. The activities aim to clearly demonstrate the sentiments and responsibilities of the Party and State in caring for the Vietnamese community abroad, promoting patriotism, turning to the roots, and encouraging overseas Vietnamese to preserve the cultural identity, traditions, and language of the nation. President Luong Cuong and his wife talked with overseas Vietnamese about their work and life, and expressed their deep gratitude to the Vietnamese community around the world for always being attached to and looking towards their homeland. At the same time, the President sent his best wishes for a new year of peace, prosperity and success to all of them. President Luong Cuong and his wife took a souvenir photo with nearly 100 overseas Vietnamese delegates returning to their homeland on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 at the Presidential Palace.
Earlier that morning, a delegation of overseas Vietnamese led by Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang - Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi. Participating in the "Homeland Spring 2025" program are outstanding overseas Vietnamese returning from many countries around the world, including businessmen, intellectuals, and representatives of Vietnamese associations and groups abroad. Overseas Vietnamese delegates offer incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street. The overseas Vietnamese delegation offered flowers and incense to pay their respects to the heroic martyrs. According to the program, on the same evening, President Luong Cuong will wish overseas Vietnamese a Happy New Year and beat the drum to celebrate the Spring Festival in the "Homeland Spring 2025" art exchange program at the National Convention Center for all overseas Vietnamese to attend. This year's program has about 1,500 overseas Vietnamese delegates from all over the world returning to their homeland to celebrate Tet.
